Please see the attached Active Storm Advisory – Atlantic for Tuesday, September 12, 2017.
Hurricane Jose has maximum sustained winds of 65 knots tracking to the east. Jose is forecast to make a clockwise loop over the next 48 to 72 hours while weakening to a tropical storm only to return to hurricane strength as the environment improves. Beyond 72 hours, Jose is forecast to track to the west, the northwest and north remaining to the northeast of the Bahamas. However, the Bahamas should continue to monitor Jose closely as there remains a low chance of tropical storm force winds to the northern islands.
