Significant Tropical Disturbance Advisory – Invest 91L #7

Invest 91L has shown some improvement in organization, and the environment nearby and just along the path into the eastern Caribbean is favorable for development. Invest 91L is expected to reach Tropical Depression status as it moves into the Caribbean before conditions become less favorable, keeping the system a depression until it makes landfall across Central America.

Please see the attached Active Storm Advisory – Atlantic for Thursday, August 17, 2017.

Significant Tropical Disturbance Advisory – Invest 92L #2

Invest 92L continues to show some development in an environment expected to remain conducive of development over the next 72 hours. This should allow for 92L to reach tropical storm status and potentially strengthen to around 45 knots before conditions become more hostile as it passes north of the Leeward Islands. Invest 92L is then expected to weaken while approaching Cuba and the Bahamas through the end of the forecast period.

Active Storm Advisory – Tropical Storm Harvey #10

Tropical Storm Harvey has maintained strength with 35 knot sustained winds. Landfall over the Lesser Antilles will be made within 18 hours as a low-end tropical storm. Gradual intensification will be possible over the Caribbean Sea as the center tracks westward over the next several days.

Please see the attached Significant Tropical Disturbance Advisory – Atlantic for Thursday, August 17, 2017.

Significant Tropical Disturbance Advisory – Invest 92L #3

The overall structure of Invest 92L has not improved much since the previous update, but still remains fairly robust with some deep convection and circulation noted. The environment over the next couple of days is expected to be conducive for some development, and 92L will likely become a tropical depression or storm soon. Thereafter, Invest 92L will track towards the Bahamas and into an unfavorable environment where multiple models have the system degrading below tropical storm and possibly even depression status before it moves through the Straits of Florida.
