A Message from Group Managing Director, Peter Wilson. COVID-19 (Corona virus):
20th March 2020.
To our valued clients, suppliers & partners, I write to you all to provide assurance and security. Globally and in the UK, we are all facing the most significant challenges of a generation. The onset of Covid19 has taken a hold across most countries. The UK government continue to impose control measures and guidance alongside a £320B aid package to help deal with the consequences of this pandemic. Our top priority remains our people.
We will continue to protect and support our colleagues and help mitigate the virus impact. We have implemented hygiene stations in all offices, regular temperature checking (ongoing) and we have provided homeworking for all our vulnerable colleagues.
We have extended this to provide split teams, office & home working for all colleagues with immediate effect and a tested plan for ALL colleagues to work from home indefinitely. Business continuity is essential during this time: following significant testing of systems, Cory Brothers will continue to provide the excellent service expected from all our divisions teams: Freight Forwarding, Liner, Port Agency & Hub Services.
Our Leadership Team are in regular contact with ALL relevant national agencies and government departments; continue to meet daily and implement the latest guidelines to ensure the safety of our colleagues, continuity of service and the protection of our clients’ interests at all times.
Finally, I would like to thank our brilliant staff, for the professional and proactive attitude shown throughout this constantly developing situation. All at Cory Brothers would like to wish our clients, suppliers, partners and all your families the hope of a safe transition through this difficult time.
