Please see the attached Tropical Daily Planner – Atlantic for Tuesday, July 25, 2017.
The Atlantic basin remains featureless with this update. There are currently four tropical waves tracking westward across the Central Atlantic, however, none are expected to materialize into a tropical cyclone threat. Latest analysis shows a large upper-level low tracking westward across the Central Atlantic along 20N. This will produce unfavorable wind shear for the next 4-5 days across the region into the Western Atlantic. Dry air offshore Northwest Africa will move westward into the Central Atlantic over the next several days, which will hamper the tropical development of tropical waves tracking through the region. In general, no tropical cyclone development is expected over the next five days.
