There are currently no tropical systems in the Atlantic basin. Conditions over much of the basin are unfavorable for tropical cyclone development, primarily due to large amounts of dry air and moderate to strong wind shear. The few favorable regions are in the western Caribbean and the western Atlantic near the Leeward Islands. A few weak tropical waves are present between 10N and 20N, but these waves are very disorganized and are not expected to become organized, nor develop. The movement of any tropical waves into more favorable regions will continue to be monitored over the next several days. However, the latest run of model guidance does not indicate any development within the next 5 days.
