Tropical Daily Planner – Atlantic
Invest 96L has dissipated into a remnant trough of low pressure just south of the Azores before becoming a tropical cyclone. It has been removed as a feature. Otherwise, satellite imagery shows a large frontal system draped across much of the Central Atlantic into the western Caribbean Sea with widespread thunderstorm activity along it. This activity is disorganized as unfavorable wind shear is spread across most of the basin. There is a small area of marginally favorable conditions over the southern Caribbean Sea where thunderstorms are most robust. Model guidance indicates no tropical cyclone development will occur as wind shear steadily increases over the coming days, but will need to be monitored for any lowering of pressure.
