Strong wind shear and pockets of dry air are currently spread across much of the North Atlantic. This will continue to create unfavorable conditions for tropical development. There are a few weak tropical waves currently tracking across the central/western Caribbean and Sargasso Sea, however with these unfavorable conditions in place no further development is anticipated with any of these waves. Elsewhere across the basin, model guidance continues to suggest that these unfavorable conditions will persist over the next several days. With this in mind there remains a minimal threat for tropical cyclone development across the Atlantic Ocean over the next five days.
