Little has changed over the past 24 hours across the Atlantic Basin. Latest satellite imagery shows dry air has overspread the Gulf of Mexico and this dry air extends south-eastward into the western portion of the Caribbean. A second extensive region of dry air is situated over the Lesser Antilles. Strong to very strong shear remains in place from Mexico to West Africa and this too is not expected to change. There are no noted threats across the Atlantic and tropical cyclone development chances will remain minimal through the next five days.
